2017 Australian Championships Reports – MAG & TRP

Hey team!
So you guys have a better idea about how our MAG and TRP gymnasts did at The Australian National Championships, here are some snippets of their respective reports:

“2017 Australian Championships – High Flyers Men’s Gymnastics Program

High Flyers Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy in Wangara, Perth, recently sent a team of 9 Gymnastics Sports athletes, 2 coaches to take part in the Australian Gymnastics National Championships at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne.

From Tuesday 23rd of May – Sunday 28th of May, these 9 athletes competed against the best gymnastics sports athletes Australia has to offer. They competed in the 3 gymnastics sports disciplines:

–       Individual (All Around) Competition
–       Team Event
–       Apparatus

By the conclusion of the event, the 9 High flyers athletes had competed in a total of 8 events, making all of them finals, and winning apprise of places including 3 Medals!

Level 9 under 15

Jeremy Choong – 6th Floor, 5th Rings, 5th High Bar

Level 8 under 14

Matthew Roberts  5th Floor, 4th Parallel Bar

Level 7 open

Jacob Sheppard – Final of team event, 5T Floor

Level 7 under 12

Nathaniel Inouye  – Bronze of team event, 4T Ring
Rio Bowling  – Bronze of team event
Taj Garmony  – Bronze of team event, 2nd High Bar
Alexander William – Bronze of team event, 2nd Vault
Porter Stewart  – Bronze of team event”

 

“2017 Australian Championships – High Flyers Trampoline Sports

High Flyers Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy in Wangara, Perth, recently sent a team of 30 Trampoline Sports athletes, 3 coaches and a judge to take part in the Australian Gymnastics National Championships at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne.

From Wednesday the 31st July – Sunday 4th June, these 30 athletes competed against the best trampoline sports athletes Australia has to offer. They competed in the 4 trampoline sports disciplines:

–       Individual Trampoline
–       Synchronised Trampoline
–       Double Mini Trampoline
–       Tumbling

By the conclusion of the event, the 30 High flyers athletes had competed in a total of 72 events, making 47 finals, and winning a total of 15 Medals, including 5 Australian Champions!!!!

Curtis Booth + Jack Petrie + Avi Margolis – 3 of 4 team members of the Men’s International DMT Team
Keara Nel + Kayla Nel + Olivia Webster – 3 of 4 team members of the Women’s International DMT Team
