Trampoline Winter Challenge – 13 / 14 June 2015
Over the weekend of 13th and 14th of June 2015, 30 trampoline athletes from High Flyers competed in the 2015 Trampoline Sports Winter Challenge.
The competition, held at Lords Sports Centre in Subiaco, was the second levels stream competition of 2015 and the second chance for these athletes to qualify for the 2015 WA State Levels Championships in September.
High Flyers athletes had a lot of fun and competed superbly over the two day event. By the end of the Sunday we had secured a total of 20 medals, including 6 gold! Many athletes also hit scores which have qualified them to compete in the State Levels Championships to be held in September. Our team for that event now stands at 32 qualified athletes!
We would also like to congratulate Jacob Sim on competing in his first competition! Jacob has autism and has worked incredibly hard to be able to compete at this event. He performed some excellent routines and passes much to the pleasure of the crowd!
A special well done must also go to our team of four adults who competed this weekend; three of whom for the first time and 3 of whom have now qualified to compete in the State Championships in September.
We look forward to the 3rd Levels Stream event coming up over the weekend of the 18th and 19th of July, and would like to wish all athletes competing the best of luck!
