BORDER CHALLENGE (CALOUNDRA, QLD)

Coach Paige Trainor accompanied our WAG gymnasts Jannah El Hekma (level 7) and Grace Poland (level 8) who were selected onto the WA state team to compete at the 2017 Border Challenge in Caloundra, QLD. This is a multi-state event with teams from across the country competing and was held from the 23rd-25th of June.

The girls had a great competition and represented their state with pride. Across two tiring days of competition, both girls managed to hit 8 clean routines without any falls! The level 7 and 8 teams both finished in 4th place. Jannah also had some strong finishes as an individual, having the 5th highest vault score during the team competition, and finishing 6th on floor and 6th overall in the individual competition. This is a huge achievement given the high standard of competition.

The girls also had a fabulous time enjoying the beautiful Queensland weather, making new friends and bonding with their teammates.

Well done Jannah and Grace!
