WAG – Spring States
The WA Spring State Championships were held at the Loftus State Recreation Centre from the 20-23rd of October 2016. High Flyers had representatives competing in the National Level 3, 4 and 5 divisions, as well as in the International Level 6 division. All girls represented the club well and made their coaches extremely proud.
The results are as follows:
National Level 3
Individual Results:
Gold medalists – Daisy Brayshaw, Denae Tsilivis
Silver medalists – Mia Aquino, Samantha Beevers, Sienna Bowden, Ivy Hewson, Anna Powell, Caitlin Sizer, Rachel Vargas
Bronze medalists – Emily Faithfull, Chiara Wurster
Team Results:
Team Silver medalists – Daisy, Sam, Sienna, Ivy, Anna, and Rachel
Team Bronze medalists – Mia, Emily, Caitlin, Denae, and Chiara
National Level 4
Individual Results:
There were plenty of individual apparatus placings for the level 4s. The following gymnasts received top 6 overall placings – Sophie Saunders (5th AA), Sophia Parker (6th AA), and Aimee Taylor (6th AA)
Team Results:
The team of Emma Fletcher, Alani Naylor, Sophia Parker, Sophie Saunders, Kayla Watson, and Jamiee Yates placed 7th out of a total 16 teams!
National Level 5
Individual Results:
All gymnasts on the level 5 team received individual apparatus placings. Highlights included Grace Filardi scoring a 9.5 for a top 5 finish on floor and Kerys Knowles, Jayde Morley, and Maya Pappin all finishing in the top 5 on uneven bars. Well done girls!
International Level 6
Individual results based on all-around performances:
Gold medalists – Kylie-Ann De Vries
Silver medalists – Daisy Atkinson, Isabella Rao
Team Results:
The IL6 girls won the team competition!

WA BLACK AND GOLD SQUADS
Congratulations to the following gymnasts for their selection onto the 2016/2017 WA Black and Gold Squads. Selections onto these squads in based on results from competitions throughout 2016. This is an amazing achievement, and we congratulate the following girls:
