Mel

Head of WAG Program

Mel Is head of the clubs WAG Program, and is a coach of over 25 years of experience! She began her coaching career at the young age of 13 and has been doing ever since.
With accreditation as a FIG 2 Advance Silver Coach Mel has a strong and dedicated focus on the growth and development of all her athletes, ensuring that they are progressing and becoming the best Gymnast they can be.

The High Flyers team has been lucky to have Mel involved with us now for over 20 years!

One thing Kylie mentioned, (and we agree wholeheartedly with!) is that no two children learn the same way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⠀
Her advice? You need to be flexible and you need to be confident in your coaching.
Kylie started as a parent volunteer in 2003 and became a paid staff member in 2004 all up, 17 years ago.
Thanks for sticking by us Kylie – your not just an incredible Coach and Coordinator, but you are family.

Igor

Head of MAG Program

Igor is one of the clubs highest qualified coaches with an astonishing 48 years of experience under his belt, starting in gymnastics at just 7 years old.
With a wide range of experience and accreditation including:

– MAG – High Performance
– FIG 3 – Brevet WAG
– Intermediate TUM
– Advance Judging MAG
– Advance Silver GA accredited
– Presenter Assessor

Gymnastics runs in Igor’s blood & his family with both his wife & two children also being involved in the sport at one point or another. As head of department Igor has continually proven his worth as one of the best MAG coaches in Australia and has become an important part of the High Flyers family!

Paige

Head Coach of the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics

Paige’s success can partly be contributed to spending lots of time reading and learning over the years, as well as spending countless hours observing other coaches. It’s probably also because she is SUPER passionate about gymnastics, and when committed to doing something, it’s done to the best of her ability.

Kasey

He was led to us from a working holiday to Australia, and a whole lot of luck.

He’s proud of obtaining his FIG2/Advanced Silver Qualification.
⁠
We also want to highlight the effort Kasey put into progressing a special needs clients to transition from our 1:1 classes, into our Recreational Gymnastics Program.

He’s inclusive of everyone, has a rip-roaring personality, and can build and connect with any adult or child that attends the gym. We’re grateful to have him in our team! ⁠

Tony brings the most out of his athletes with his technical expertise and his sense of humour.
